Military Simulation
An innovative, low overhead solution for constructive
simulation training. MILSIM can be operated at a fraction of
the cost of other traditional constructive simulations.
Product Overview
MILSIM represents a significant leap forward
in battlefield command simulations by
allowing commanders to realistically simulate
engagements from squad and platoon to
brigade task force and divisional level. Simple
user interfaces and easy training scenario
creation and manipulation significantly reduce
operating costs by allowing organizations to
create and execute training without
extensive external support.
Simple Preparation & Execution
Soldier Operated.
No contractor pucksters are required to
conduct training. Soldiers can be trained to operate MILSIM
in a matter of hours. Most user functionality is accessed via
"right-click" menu options.
Simple Scenario Creation.
Internal training resources can be used to maintain the simulation and create and conduct training. The Expert
User/Scenario Creation Course can be conducted in 2-3
Days. Unit personnel modify scenarios in less than an hour.
Unit personnel create new scenarios in 2-3 hours or 2-3
days for very complex high-level scenarios/new equipment.
Portability
Portable Simulation Training.
MILSIM's low overhead system architecture means
that the system is extremely portable. Using a few
laptop computers and a network router, simulation
training capability is brought directly to the units
and commanders requiring the training. Automatic
network establishment enables the system to be
setup in minutes.
Simulated Tactical Radio.
MILSIM can be deployed
with RADSIM - a software based radio that runs on the
same laptops as MILSIM and simulates tactical radio
communications between MILSIM stations. This eliminates
the requirement to setup "green box" radio nets.
Other Features
Multi-Language Support.
Operators can switch on-the-fly between languages. Having
the software in the mother-tongue of the users greatly reduces training overhead. MILSIM
can have multiple languages running within the same simulation. MILSIM is currently
translated into English, French, Arabic and Portuguese. MILSIM can be translated into
other languages with relative ease.
Logistics and Maintenance Play.
MILSIM exercises the logistics and maintenance staff
which can add an increased complexity level for operational commanders. MILSIM
provides play for the role of logistics, medical and maintenance staffs by allowing entities
to require resupply, repair or medical treatment. The degree of logistical play is adjustable
at the start of the simulation. Additionally, the ability to deploy engineering resources can
enhance or deny mobility.
After-Action/Post-Training Reviews.
MILSIM can provide playback of the simulation
from any perspective and allows the simulation controller to create combat "vignettes"
or short video clips of the important lessons from the simulation simply and effectively.
It also can generate reports detailing information on vehicles damaged and destroyed, the
effectiveness of weapons systems and supplies consumed (fuel, ammunition, etc).
